Everything about the trial, what you pay, and how to stop. Apple and Google run the payment; Berry never sees your card. These rules are part of our Terms of Service.
The free trial
3 days. Nothing is charged until the trial ends.
Start a trial and the whole library opens straight away: every page, Read To Me, downloads. No money is taken during the 3 days.
When the 3 days end, the plan you picked (monthly or yearly) is charged automatically, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before. Trials are for new subscribers; Apple or Google decides eligibility.
The plans
Monthly, or yearly at a saving. Both unlock the same things.
Berry Family monthly renews every month. Yearly renews every year and costs less per month. Both cover every child profile on the account and unlock every book, Read To Me narration and offline downloads.
Prices vary by country and currency. The exact price is shown on the subscription screen in the app before you confirm, and again on Apple's or Google's own confirmation sheet.
Renewal
It renews by itself until you cancel.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account. Your subscription renews automatically at the same price and period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends, and the renewal is charged within the 24 hours before that. If the price ever changes, the store tells you first.
Cancelling
Cancel in your phone's subscription settings, not in Berry.
iPhone or iPad
- Open Settings and tap your name.
- Tap Subscriptions, then Berry.
- Tap Cancel Subscription.
Android
- Open the Google Play Store and tap your profile picture.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Choose Berry and tap Cancel subscription.
Restoring a purchase
New phone, same subscription? Tap Restore purchase.
If you subscribed before and the library is locked (a new device, a reinstall, or after signing out), tap Restore purchase on the subscription screen. It asks the store for your existing subscription and unlocks Berry again. It never charges you. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple or Google account you subscribed with.
Refunds
Refunds come from Apple or Google. We will help you ask.
Because the store takes the payment, refunds go through them: reportaproblem.apple.com for Apple, or your Google Play order history for Android (Google's refund guide).
Stuck? Email hello@syntaxplanet.com and we will point you to the right place.
