What does Berry cost?
The first book you open is yours to read in full, and every other book opens for a two-page peek. Berry Family is a monthly or yearly subscription that unlocks every book, Read To Me on all of them, and offline downloads, for every child on the account. The price in your currency is shown in the app before you confirm. How billing works.
Is there a free trial, and how do I cancel?
Yes, 3 days. You are only charged if you keep it past the trial. Cancel in your phone's subscription settings at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Step-by-step cancelling.
Does Berry have adverts or in-app chat?
No to both, and there never will be. Berry is an ad-free reading app with no messaging and no social features.
What age is Berry for?
Children aged 2 to 16. Each child gets a shelf chosen for their age: picture books and bedtime stories for toddlers and preschoolers, comics and read-along books for early readers, and longer stories and Pick Your Path books for older kids.
Does Berry read the books aloud?
Yes. Read To Me narrates every page with a warm narrator and a voice for each character, and every word lights up as it is spoken so children can follow along and learn to read the words.
What do you know about my child?
A first name or nickname, a birth year (never the full date) and the avatar you pick, plus their reading progress so it follows them between devices. Children's privacy notice.
Can we read without internet?
Yes. With Berry Family, download books before a car ride or a flight and read them offline anywhere.
How many children can use one account?
Up to six child profiles, each with their own shelf, progress, streaks and badges. One subscription covers them all.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: parent area, Settings, Delete account. It removes everything immediately. You can also ask us by email. Delete your account.
